Don’t miss this lighting masterclass from
BAFTA-nominated director, Stewart Kyasimire
Lighting for every shade: Representation through light in cinematic storytelling - sponsored by Aputure
Lighting isn't one-size-fits-all, and BAFTA-nominated director Stewart Kyasimire knows exactly how much that matters. In this session Stewart shares how his approach to lighting diverse skin tones has evolved across his work on high-profile productions like the BAFTA-nominated Black and Scottish and Amazon Prime documentary Four Kings.
He'll explore the creative and technical decisions behind achieving authentic and balanced lighting and show how tools like Aputure's latest BLAIR engine has supported his process, giving him more precision and flexibility to get it right on set, and not just in post.
